2023 Love and Liberation Festival

On June 19th, 1865, African Americans living in Texas learned of their emancipation a full two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. For two whole years, they were living under the veil of a false reality, believing they were enslaved when in reality they were free. Today, many of us still live under a similar veil – believing that we are separate, when in reality we are unified, that we live in a world of scarcity, when in reality there is abundance, and that the world around us can only be characterized as dangerous and unsafe, when in reality it is bursting at the seams with love.  

We invite you to join BECOME’s second annual Love & Liberation Festival On Monday, June 19, 12pm-6pm at Foster Park in Auburn Gresham to commemorate Juneteenth and to experience the sentiment of love & liberation in our communities through live entertainment, family fellowship, community connection with physical & emotional wellness activities. Our Love and Liberation Festival: The Past, Present and Future will explore historical facets of our past, examine moments of the present and speak to the abundant manifestation for the future.
